October brought plenty of TYPO3 news – from maintenance releases and community-funded projects to event recaps and the upcoming TYPO3 Awards in Düsseldorf. There’s also a look ahead at ELTS updates, v14 features, and some solid tips to make your workflow smoother – whether with Git, performance tuning, or BackstopJS for painless upgrades.
A handful of new extensions made it onto the list too, ranging from spam protection to smarter log formatting.

My first T3CON talk: News for Integrators in TYPO3 v13 LTS
At the end of the month, I (Wolfgang) will be giving my first talk at the international T3CON in Düsseldorf – on behalf of the TYPO3 Education Committee. I have been to many TYPO3 camps, but T3CON is the big stage. And I'm looking forward to it.

The session is aimed at all certified TYPO3 integrators who want to renew their certification. We developed the content together in the TCCI team, and I will present it on Community Day at the conference.
It covers the most important new features in TYPO3 v13 LTS – compact, practical and to the point. Just as you would expect from me.

New TYPO3 extension "powermail_crshield" is available
Effectively combat spam in TYPO3 forms: Torben Hansen's new extension ‘powermail_crshield’ is now available. It works with a hidden input field and JavaScript validation that blocks automated bots. Based on the same concept as the popular ‘form_crshield’ (140,000+ downloads), this solution now also offers protection for Powermail forms. Although no spam protection can guarantee 100% security, this approach makes life difficult for attackers. Available for TYPO3 12.4 and 13.4.
